/Terminal AI × Stationed · All Hands
Assemble.
Earth’s mightiest forward-deployed team.
We’re not talking about projects or deadlines today. We’re talking about the kind of team we want to become.
/02 · Everyone has a superpower
Which one are you?
Exceptional at something.
Not at everything.
Each character is exceptional at something. None of them is exceptional at everything. Challenge the team: What’s your superpower? Are you actually using it?
/03 · The whole is greater
1+1
>2
Our differences are the advantage.
Alone
Assembled
We didn’t bring people together because we needed six versions of the same person. We’re here because combining our strengths makes things possible that none of us could accomplish alone.
/04
Every great team
has an enemy.
The Avengers weren’t assembled because everything was going well. They came together because something needed to be defeated. And we have an enemy, too.
/05 · The most dangerous enemies sound reasonable
“I am
inevitable.”
— Thanos
Thanos wasn’t scary because he sounded irrational. He was scary because he could justify everything he did. The most dangerous enemies don’t always announce themselves. Sometimes they sound perfectly reasonable.
/06 · The reveal
Mediocrity.
Pause before speaking. “Our enemy is mediocrity. Not mistakes. Not failure. Not the people around us. Mediocrity is knowing we could do better and deciding not to.” Let that sit.
/07 · The villain’s playbook
It sounds so reasonable.
Six lines. Zero villains in sight.
These phrases are dangerous precisely because they feel harmless. Mediocrity rarely arrives as a terrible decision. It arrives as a series of small compromises.
/08 · Mediocrity is not failure
Failure ≠
mediocrity.
Failure
Trying something difficult and falling short.
Mediocrity
Knowing better and choosing less.
Terminal AI × Stationed
We should be taking risks, experimenting, making mistakes, and learning. The goal isn’t perfection. It’s never becoming indifferent to the quality of what we do.
/09 · The standard is in the details
Excellence is a practice.
Ground this in Terminal AI examples. An engineer catches a fragile deployment before the client does. A teammate challenges a presentation that doesn’t tell the story well. Someone steps into a problem even though it isn’t technically their responsibility. Excellence lives in small decisions, repeated.
/10 · No one wins alone
Bring your power.
Borrow theirs.
Iron Man doesn’t need to become Captain America. We don’t need everyone to be good at everything. We need people who know their strengths, recognize their limitations, and care enough to lean on one another. The goal isn’t to be the smartest person in the room. It’s to make the entire room smarter.
/11 · The question
What would the
best version of you
do?
Right here. Right now.
This is the emotional center of the presentation. Ask people to think about their current work. What’s something they know they could do better? What’s something they’ve been avoiding? What would change if they approached their work as the person they aspire to become? Pause for five seconds. Then make it personal: acknowledge where you also need to improve, and invite the team to challenge you.
/12 · The charge
Whatever
it takes.
Let’s assemble
Different powers. Different people. One enemy.
Close with conviction. “We’re not here to demand the best from each other. We’re here to bring out the best in each other. The opportunity doesn’t make us exceptional. What we do with it does. And every single day, we get to decide what kind of team we’re becoming. Let’s assemble.”
